Mayah Henriques
Mayah Henriques is a dance Instructor and professional dancer in the Philadelphia area. She recently finished dancing for the NBA with the Philadelphia 76ers. Additional recent professional credits include: earning a position with the Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders, performing in the New York City Thanksgiving Day Parade, competing in World of Dance competition, dancing in a Pretzel Factory commercial, performing in a Michael Jackson tribute in Atlantic City, and appearing on Good Morning America, PHIL17, Fox News, and much more. With Squad 76 she has also performed with artists including Lumidee and the Ying Yang Twins.
Mayah was born and raised in Buck’s County Pennsylvania, where she began dancing at the age of 3, studying ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, Acro, musical theater, contemporary, lyrical, and hip hop at her parents' studio, Bucks County Dance Center.
It wasn’t long before Mayah began branching out to expose herself to a variety of studios, teachers, styles, and opportunities that taught her about different class structures along with the importance of individuality and expression. In her free time, she continues to train by attending conventions, open classes, and master classes.
Mayah believes that dance is more than just ability, but dedication, passion, and unique personality you demonstrate to become the best dancer you can be. She seeks to instill passion, motivation, and energy into her students with every class she teaches.
