Alyssa Maurer
Alyssa Maurer is a Philadelphia-area dance performer and Instructor. She has been teaching at local studios since 2018, and holds certification in Progressive Ballet Technique. In addition to her current teaching and performing, she still consistently trains in dance and is committed to continually advancing her expertise.
In 2023, Alyssa reached major milestones as a performer. With local South Jersey dance companies, she had the opportunity to compete at the prestigious World of Dance competition twice, and has showcased her talents in New York City at the Brickhouse Open House and Club NYC. Additionally, Alyssa has performed with KN Dance and Entertainment and Vivacity Entertainment, further expanding her professional experience and versatility as a dancer.
Alyssa’s journey in dance began at the age of 10 in Fort Myers, Florida, where she trained in jazz, hip hop, ballet, lyrical, modern and tap at a local studio, quickly ascending to their competition team. In 2016, Alyssa moved to New Jersey and quickly made her mark as a featured dancer in Cherokee High School’s production of Anything Goes. During her senior year, she served as a dance captain for both the fall and spring musicals.
Alyssa’s passion for dance is matched only by her dedication to teaching and continuous learning. She strives to inspire her students and elevate her own artistry, driven by a deep love for the ever-evolving world of dance.
It is important to Alyssa to establish a safe environment to experiment with individual artistry and to provide a challenge, while remaining upbeat and fun. She wants people to leave reminded of why they love to dance!
