Vanessa Fattizzo

Vanessa Fattizzo was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and started dancing at the age of three at Touch of Class Dance studios. She has danced at the collegiate level for the Temple University Diamond Gems Dance Team and at the professional level as a New England Patriots Cheerleader and a Boston Celtics Dancer.

Prior to dancing professionally, Vanessa attended Temple University where she was a three-year member of the Diamond Gems Dance Team and served as captain during her senior season. Vanessa competed at UDA College Nationals in Orlando, FL in D1A  pom, jazz, and hiphop, ranking in the top 10 in the nation twice. Vanessa choreographed multiple hiphop and pom routines that were performed during football games at Lincoln Financial Field and basketball games at The Liacouras Center. During her time with the Diamond Gems, Vanessa traveled to two AAC championships and basketball tournaments, two Bowl games, and  participated in ESPN College Game Day in Philadelphia. When she wasn’t performing, Vanessa could be seen representing Temple University on and off campus at pep rallies, Fox 29 appearances, and community service events. Vanessa was also featured as Sports Illustrated Cheerleader of the Week.

In 2018, Vanessa was one of thirty-four women on the New England Patriots Cheerleaders. Vanessa danced on the field and sidelines of Gillette Stadium during preseason, regular season and playoff games. She traveled to Super Bowl 53 in Atlanta, Georgia where she cheered the Patriots onto their sixth Super Bowl victory. Vanessa participated in many pre-game events including the Super Bowl Welcome party, Good Morning America, Patriots Pep Rally with country singer LoCash and the post-win Super Bowl Parade. When she wasn’t performing for tens of thousands of fans, Vanessa represented the New England Patriots throughout Massachusetts at a variety of community service events, from Special Olympics Flag Football, Christmas Caroling and National Pancake Day at Boston Children’s Hospital, and Healthy Kids’ Day. Vanessa was also fortunate enough to travel to St. Maarten and be featured in the New England Patriots Cheerleader Swimsuit Calendar.

After cheering for the New England Patriots, Vanessa set her sights on the NBA. In 2019, she became one of eighteen women to join the 2019-2020 Celtics Dancers. She attended weekly practices where she learned upwards of twenty timeout and sideline routines. Vanessa performed at pre-season and regular season games at TD Garden. When she wasn’t performing and practicing, Vanessa represented the Boston Celtics at community events around the city, from the Boys and Girls Club Gala dinner and Christmas Caroling at Boston Children’s Hospital.

Currently, Vanessa’s mission is to help other dancers to make their own dance dreams a reality. She teaches Pro Style and Sideline Style dance classes regularly at Powerhouse. Most recently, she’s taught master classes and game day choreography for a variety of middle schools, high schools, and colleges in the Philadelphia and New Jersey areas.

A note from Vanessa:

"What I want dancers to get from my class is that feeling that they are truly dancing on the court or field as a professional cheerleader. Whether they're a current/former professional dancer or have never taken this style before, I want my dancers to rise to the challenge of stylized, high energy movement BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY feel confident and empowered with every hair whip. I view my classes as a space to motivate and support one another, a way to grow as dancers, and a reminder of why we love to dance"
